Proceedings

The IAU Symposium 255 Proceedings will be made available both in book form and electronically. There is a list of proceedings files we have received so far available here. Many thanks!

Oral Contributions
For the Proceedings, use has to be made of style-files provided by the IAU Publisher: Cambridge University Press (CUP). We have modified the tex template for Symposium 255, and these templates should be used for the proceedings: Gzipped tar with IAU CUP style files and example (IAUS 255).

Detailed instructions are in the README-AUTHORS.txt file. Invited Reviews have 12 pages, Invited Talks 8 pages, and Contributions 5 pages. Please do not forget the keywords (see acceptable keywords). Also, if you include color figures in your manuscript, they will be reproduced in the electronic version only; you must ensure that they reproduce faithfully in black-and-white by either sending a separate figure clearly labelled as such (for the printed version) or by checking how the color prints in greyscale.

Poster Contributions
There is a total limit of 600 printed pages in the agreement between IAU and CUP, so posters will be published only electronically on the CUP website, in conjunction with the Oral Presentations. There will be a poster index in the final volume with links to the Poster presentations. They should be presented in pdf (maximum 5Mb per file), and can be the same format as the poster given at the conference.

Submission
The agreement between the IAU and CUP requires that publication take place within six months after the Symposium, and CUP needs three months for the production process. Hence, we need your manuscript or your poster pdf file (no larger than 5Mb) by 31 July 2008 (see Important Dates) via email to iaus255@arcetri.astro.it. If possible, for the oral contributions, we would prefer a gzipped tar file containing the latex and postscript files.
